Member Posts: 57 25-Feb-2008 21:11	I accept my eyes are on the way out but I still don't think things are running as smoothly as they could be regarding the fonts and their sizes. Using default browser settings everything looks "normal" for me too, but I usually surf with Firefox (x1 text size increase) without problems, until now. On the old forum there seemed to be a default text size throughout, unless a user deliberately increased/decreased the text size or made style changes to it. Now I go from post to post, thread to thread, looking at different sized text. I've never come across this before. I have tried Explorer without any success. I've included some screen shots so you can see what I'm seeing. Here is what I see using Firefox default text size. Here is what I see with x1 text increase. Yes, I can see some differences when I increase the text size with Mozilla x1. I'll contact the Yuku Representative and see if there is any way to increase the default font size of the text. He's a bit swamped right now but I'll let you know what he says when he gets to it.

Member Posts: 65 26-Feb-2008 20:29	What you've just typed looks fine. The other forums still look as they did after the change to Yuku (smaller font, but a standard size throughout). The main problem is the posts made after the changeover; they seem to retain whatever text properties they were originally created with when my browser attempts to enlarge them. For those reading the forums with standard browser settings this may not seem important, but in the future when Yuku is upgraded the whole forum could end up looking a complete mess for everyone, not just us blind twats. At least the new posts now seem to be standardised correctly like the old pre-Yuku forum. What a relief! A simple indent of a few spaces does not make it very easy to tell what statements are being responded to. What about putting the statements responded to in highlights as a standard feature, or coloring the inside of the quote box. I think the current set-up is the major visual drawback of the YUKU forum type when compared to others, such as php. All the best, W.

Member Posts: 76 2-Mar-2008 14:03	Even pasting in correctly formatted html to the new WSIWYG editor from simple text editors like notepad will result in the formatting being destroyed and unwanted erroneous characters added. For anyone still having problems the trick is to click on the html-view button before adding any text. This sort of tinkering to make something as simple as a text editor work makes me wonder if they even bothered testing the software before putting it online? However, neither Firefox or Safari will take me to my posted hyperlinks. I have to cut and paste into either the browser to go back to them. I don't get why I can't follow my own hyperlinks. I have no trouble with anyone else's. -whodareswings

I agree. It takes me three times as long to compose posts as it used to and still get the quality and look that I got with the old format. I have no trouble with anyone else's. -whodareswings The easiest way to add a url to your post using quick reply is to press: Ctrl-Alt-L If you're using the WYSIWYG editor make sure you haven't checked the strip all links box.
