Revised Forum Rules -- everyone must follow !!

Membership Rules

1. No sockpuppets. One active account at a time only. Do not register a stupid or offensive username. Identity theft or impersonation are prohibited.

2. The RODOH forum wishes to respect the anonymity of posters if they desire. The best means of assuring poster anonymity, especially in countries where Thoughtcrime is against the law, is to use an IP anonymizer proxy server. IP addresses can normally not be seen by readers or Moderators anyway but only by forum Administrators.

3. Do not post addresses or personal information about fellow posters without permission, even if the information is publicly available on the Internet. This includes IP addresses and location.

4. No huge avatar icons or signatures are allowed. Icons should preferably be not more than 200 pixels on any side. Signature images should not be more than 250 pixels tall and 500 pixels wide. Use common sense and decency when selecting an avatar or signature. Avatars and signatures that are inflammatory, vulgar, inappropriate, rude or otherwise against community guidelines will be removed.

Images, Pictures, etc.

5. Offensive pictures will be deleted by Moderators without warning. No porn or semi-porn. No links to porno sites. Atrocity photos should be germane to the thread or posted as URL links rather than as open images. When starting a thread with potentially-offensive imagery, put a warning in the subject line. No advertisements. Commercial spam will be deleted.

6. Do not post images wider than 700 pixels in a thread that does or might contain discussion text. Use URL links instead.

Forum Rules

7. Post only to appropriate forums.

─ The Holocaust section is for serious debate, discussion, or dialog only.
─ General discussions should be placed in the Lounge section of the forum, as should any discussion of this forum's procedures or its members.
─ The Hebden Memorial Forum is used for miscellaneous potpourri, informal discussion, humor and sarcasm.
─ The Memory Hole section can be used to document outrageous posts that were banned from other forums, including complaints about RODOH.
─ Siberian Exile is for making test posts, venting or trolling, and for checking the Violations Scorecard.
─ Dr. Mathis moderates his own subforum for questions concerning Jews and Judaism, etc. and determines the rules therein.
─ Moderators may move threads to more appropriate forums according to these guidelines.

8. Keep on topic: responses to a particular thread should be on-topic and pertain to the discussion. Threads that are off-topic may be split or moved by Moderators. Multiple threads on the same theme may be merged by Moderators.

Personal Attacks and Abuse

9. Show respect for other users. Keep discussions civil, clean, and productive at all times. Make an effort to use proper spelling, grammar, and capitalization. Although this is a grownup forum, foul language should be minimized. In general, members should avoid personalizing discussion wherever possible. We discourage abuse and insults directed against fellow RODOH posters.

10. Address forum members by their correct usernames or initials. Insulting alterations will be edited back, moved or deleted. Attacks and insults against non-posting family members of RODOH posters will not be tolerated. Direct threats against other forum members will also not be tolerated.

11. The Holocaust forum is for serious discussion addressed to the entire forum community, not for flaming, feuding, trolling or baiting aimed at other posters. Address the argument, not the arguer. If you feel the need to personalize the discussion, take it to the Lounge or Hebden Memorial Forum.

Moderation Policy

12. Moderators' decisions are made in good faith according to the rules laid out above. Do not snipe and whine about Moderators' decisions in public as this may result in further warnings. If you feel wronged by a Moderator, the first step is to Private Message the Moderator in question, to settle possible misunderstandings directly in private. If you continue to feel you have a complaint about a Moderator's decision, the second step is you must formally send the complaint to another Moderator or administrator in writing by Private Message or to Scott Smith's e-mail address. You may request that the Moderation Panel be polled as to what they decided. Decisions will be logged in the Violations Scorecard thread in the Siberian Exile subforum. The Moderation Panel currently consists of two revisionists and two non-revisionists (Balmoral2, neugierig, Scott Smith, Nick Terry), and votes by majority, so that ideological differences cannot come into play.

13. A Moderator may impose an 24 hour ban on a poster for ANY reason, providing that 1) another Moderator seconds the motion, and 2) that notice of the ban and its timeframe is logged in the Violations Scorecard thread in the Siberian Exile subforum. A ban longer than 24 must be taken for cause by a majority of the Moderation Panel. To date Lord Moderator Hobbes (Scott Smith) has never sanctioned a permanent ban on any RODOH poster.

14. The RODOH forum encourages networking between participants, which is important for all parties in discussion and debate. However, we
do not make e-mail addresses known to others without permission, and the management does NOT have access to ANY Yuku registration information, including e-mail addresses. Yuku forum management software does incorporate a Private Messaging feature, which we encourage posters to use at their leisure for confidential discussions among participants. (Make sure the PM feature is turned on in your Yuku account software if you wish to receive private messages and to use the PM feature.) Scott Smith's e-mail address is public and he is always available via e-mail or to help you with problems, but please put RODOH or something in the subject line of your message so that he can recognize it as RODOH-related and distinguish it from typical Internet spam: ( SLSm1701@yahoo.com ).
