For some reason, perhaps the sheer perversity that finds absurd logic still alive in the world, this pleased me.

How much do you make, Mr Harrison?

I have a sufficient combination of income and job satisfaction not to have to envy Mark Weber's cushy lifestyle.

I hope your business is recession proof, but as I expect your clientale or funding are entirely government provided I suppose it is.

Ten-percent of my coworkers got downsized and the rest of us took a 5 percent pay cut just to get the state budget to the next fiscal year in July.

Don't worry, you'll be able to write off all your Madoff losses on your income taxes. Is this a great country or what!
Bernie and his wife are already inviting old friends over to their New York penthouse suite for a little get-together to talk shop and make up for any hard feelings over recent events with the market and to see who all wants to get in on the ground floor for some brand new deals. The Madoffs will hold a door raffle and announce that just in the way of thanks, all profits for the first year of their exciting new line of kosher salad dressing will go to your favorite charity picks in Israel. Mrs. Madoff will have lots and lots of egg salad sandwiches prepared, so come hungry and bring a friend. Bring your own drink preference. |

We are not here -- I do not believe we are -- to decide who acted with the greatest brutality against innocent, unarmed civilians, but to clear up the record and to make it clear that the "unique" brutality of the Germans is a myth exploited obsessively throughout American culture for the political, social, and economic benefit of those who benefit from it. This is why we are forwarding the idea of an open debate on the matter, to break the taboo that forbids a real examination of the "unique monstrosity" of the Germans, which will, hopefully, lead to a public awareness and a back and forth on the issues we find [...] There is a tendency among revisionists, because of the stupid, one-sided history of WWII that has been institutionalized by our intellectual and political classes, to argue that the Germans are innocent of all wrong doing. I do not believe that can be demonstrated. ONE NAME, WITH PROOF http://bradleysmithsblog.blogspot.com |

Oh dear, I saw the Elie Wiesel Memorial Foundation has lost almost its entire assets. That will affect a few people here quite adversely. Should we do a whip around?
